Q: Is there a discount package available if I just want to record a 2-4 song demo?
Yes, we have our Baby Steps™ Demo Package for an amazingly low $300 flat-fee. Please get in touch with us to inquire about Baby Steps™.
Q: Recording, Mixing, and Mastering are separate services, but would it be possible to combine all three services into one packaged service and have a single hourly rate?
Yes, if you prefer to treat all three services as one packaged service, then we can charge a single $50/hour rate that covers all three services during your studio session.
Q: Is a deposit required to book a session at the studio?
No, a deposit is not required. However, many clients prefer to put down a deposit to ensure that their time slot is available to them on the day of their session. If you choose not to put down a deposit, then your requested time slot may be given to another client if he or she asks for that same time slot.
We will do our best to accomodate your requested time, but unless a deposit is received by us, your session is considered tentatively scheduled. Therefore, you should call a couple of hours ahead before coming to the studio to ask us if your time slot is still available.
Q: If I want to put down a deposit to confirm my session, do I have to deliver it in person?
No, you may make an online payment using your credit card, debit card, or checking account via PayPal (you do not have to create a PayPal account to submit an online payment).
You also have the option of calling us and we can process your credit card payment over the phone.
However, cash payments must be delivered in person to S. Louis, the only person who is authorized to accept your cash payment. Please call ahead to ensure that he is available to accept your payment at the studio. Do not mail in your cash payment.
Q: Can you create custom music for me if I don't have my own materials to work with?
Yes, there are several options for you. We can be your producer for an additional fee and create songs or beats for you.
If you prefer to use a third-party source, we can refer you to other Bay Area producers, lyricists, session singers, and beat makers. You are directly responsible for making payment arrangements and adhering to any agreements made between you and the third-party source.
If you are a Hip Hop artist, we can create beats for you or you can download pre-made beats from a third-party source. We can provide you with some links to get started. Some third-party websites offer licensed beats for as low as $25 and exclusive beats are also available.
Q: I would like to get my songs on iTunes. Can you help with that?
Yes, for a very low flat-fee (less than $50), you can get your song or album placed on iTunes.
